School of the Prophets
The Kingdom Culture International School of the Prophets is a biblical training and equipping environment established to develop prophets according to Scripture, Kingdom government, character, and prophetic function.
Biblical Foundation
The biblical pattern for the School of the Prophets can be seen throughout Scripture in the companies and communities of prophets that gathered for instruction, development, spiritual formation, and prophetic service.
Under Samuel, Scripture records a company of prophets functioning together, with Samuel standing in leadership among them:
- 1 Samuel 10:5–6, 10 — Saul encounters a company of prophets and the Spirit of the Lord comes upon him.
- 1 Samuel 19:20 — Samuel is seen standing as appointed over a company of prophets who were prophesying.
This prophetic training model continued in the days of Elijah and Elisha, where Scripture repeatedly refers to groups known as the “sons of the prophets.”
- 2 Kings 2:3 — The sons of the prophets at Bethel speak with Elisha concerning Elijah.
- 2 Kings 2:5 — The sons of the prophets at Jericho also recognize what God is preparing to do concerning Elijah.
- 2 Kings 2:7 — Fifty men from among the sons of the prophets accompany Elijah and Elisha.
- 2 Kings 2:15 — The sons of the prophets recognize that the spirit resting upon Elijah is now resting upon Elisha.
- 2 Kings 4:38 — Elisha returns to Gilgal, where the sons of the prophets are gathered before him and receive instruction.
- 2 Kings 6:1–7 — The sons of the prophets are shown living and developing together as a prophetic community under Elisha’s leadership.
These passages establish an important biblical precedent: prophets were not only called; they were also developed, instructed, discipled, brought into community, and trained to properly function in their assignment.
That same principle forms the foundation of the KCI School of the Prophets.
We do not train individuals merely to carry the title of prophet. We train them to understand how prophets function according to the Word of God—their responsibility, jurisdiction, authority, accountability, spiritual intelligence, and role within the Body of Christ and the territories and systems to which God assigns them.
Throughout Scripture, prophets were more than people who delivered prophetic words. They functioned as watchmen, intercessors, reformers, advisers, builders, governmental voices, spiritual diagnosticians, and representatives of the counsel of God.
They confronted misalignment, communicated divine instruction, discerned seasons, established spiritual boundaries, addressed kings and nations, and called God’s people back into covenantal alignment.
Our School of the Prophets seeks to restore this biblical understanding of prophetic ministry and prophetic function.
What students learn to distinguish
- Prophetic gifting and prophetic office
- Revelation and interpretation
- Gifting and authorization
- Personal revelation and governmental revelation
- Calling and commissioning
- Influence and jurisdiction
- Prophetic utterance and prophetic responsibility
Emphasis is placed upon learning how to properly hear, discern, interpret, steward, and communicate what God reveals while remaining submitted to the authority of Scripture.
Training includes prophetic identity and function, spiritual discernment, biblical prophetic patterns, prophetic jurisdiction, governmental authority, prayer and intercession, prophetic intelligence, spiritual mapping, the responsibility of the watchman, prophetic legislation, apostolic-prophetic collaboration, character development, accountability, and recognizing God’s plumb line for people, ministries, territories, and systems.
The goal is not simply to produce people who can prophesy, but to develop mature prophets who understand why they have been sent, where they have been assigned, what they are authorized to address, and how to function faithfully within their God-given measure and jurisdiction.
At KCI, we believe prophetic ministry must be governed by the Word of God, the character of Christ, the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and the order of the Kingdom of God.
We train prophets according to Scripture.
We develop prophets according to function.
We prepare prophets for Kingdom assignment.
The KCI School of the Prophets exists to raise a company of mature, discerning, accountable, and governmentally minded prophetic voices who can accurately represent the heart, mind, counsel, and purposes of God in their generation.
